Kills on contact

EXOBURST · Our formulation method

Plant power, built to perform.

EXOBURST is how we build every Brightcide formula: plant-powered actives, chosen for the pest in front of them, made to kill on contact with no synthetic insecticides.

  1. 01

    Contact

Kills bed bugs on contact. The plant oils go to work the moment the spray lands.

  2. 02

    Plant power

Bugs keep growing resistant to synthetic sprays. EPA 25(b) plant-powered actives give you a better way to fight back.

  3. 03

    Nothing hidden

Every ingredient is named on the label, actives and inerts alike.

Why we build this way

Where to use it

Every spot they hide.

Upholstered furniture

Carpets & flooring

Label limits. For rooms and surfaces only. Not for use on people or pets. Always read and follow the label.

How to use it

Strip. Spray. Repeat.

  1. 1

    Strip and wash the bed

Sheets, pillowcases, and blankets go through a hot wash and a hot dryer cycle. Vacuum the mattress seams and bed frame.

  2. 2

    Spray what you can't wash

Spray mattress seams and tufts, the bed frame, upholstered furniture, and carpet edges, following the label directions. Test a hidden spot on delicate fabrics first.

  3. 3

    Let it dry, then repeat

Let treated surfaces dry before use, and re-treat on the label's schedule while you're still seeing bed bugs.

The full plan

If you find bed bugs

Bed bugs hide in seams and cracks during the day, so treating is a routine, not a single spray.

  1. Day 1

Hot-wash and dry all bedding. Vacuum seams, frames, and baseboards. Spray the mattress, frame, and nearby furniture.

  2. Through the week

Check seams and frames each morning and re-treat any spot where you see activity, following the label.

  3. After any trip

Spray the outside of luggage before it comes into the bedroom, and wash travel clothes on hot.

Questions

Before you buy.

The questions people ask about a product like this, answered straight.

Can I spray it on my mattress?

Yes. Mattresses and bedding are exactly what it's made for. Spray the seams, tufts, and edges following the label, and let it dry before you make the bed.

Will it stain my sheets or furniture?

It's scent and stain free. As with any water-based spray, test a hidden spot first on silk, leather, suede, or anything delicate.

Can I use it around my kids and pets?

Follow the label: spray, let treated surfaces dry, and store the bottle out of reach of children. It's an EPA 25(b) minimum-risk formula. It's for rooms and surfaces only, not for use on people or pets.

How often should I spray?

Follow the re-treatment schedule on the label, and keep checking seams and frames until you stop finding bed bugs.

What does EPA 25(b) mean?

It's the federal exemption for minimum-risk pesticides. These products can only use active ingredients from a short EPA list, and every ingredient has to be named on the label.
